From “Slave to Food” to Thriving on Her Own

For Christa Domer, nutrition and fitness had always been part of the big picture for her. But sticking with a sustainable routine? That was the real challenge.

Back in 2018, Domer had some success using RP Strength. This method required tracking everything through an app, a method that quickly became more of a chore than a habit.

“I hated putting things into an app. It felt like a huge burden,” Domer said. “I could never stick with it long-term.”

In 2024, Domer was working out, mostly strength training, four to five days a week. However, her nutrition wasn’t under control. She wanted to lose weight, and she knew nutrition was the key.

At the same time, she was intrigued by what she saw about CBG.

“They talked about not counting macros, and I thought, ‘This sounds amazing,’” she said. “On a whim, I hit the little button.”

Starting the Journey with CBG

In June 2024, Domer was paired up with CBG Coach Paige Allert, and together, they began applying the CBG Blueprint, a system that clicked with Domer right away.

“I’m not Type A, so it fits my personality,” she shared. “I’m more of a ‘what’s in my freezer’ type of person. I just want eating to be easy.”

Ultimately, CBG’s more flexible and practical approach was a perfect match for Domer. Instead of logging every bite, she learned to put together healthy meals in an easy, stress-free way.

Domer succeeded in the 16-week program and saw big results. However, she didn’t want to stop. Consequently, she signed up for another eight months with Coach Allert.

The result: Domer lost 25 pounds with CBG. Today, she’s up a bit from her lowest weight, but it was intentional, as she went through a strength-building phase. Currently, she’s doing a maintenance phase with CBG.

What made all the difference for Domer?

Accountability.

Throughout her CBG journey, Domer was in touch with Coach Allert almost daily at times, sending her pictures of her meals, as well as progress pictures each week to help her continuously move forward.

The real key, however, was the emotional support.

Domer remembers freaking out before the holiday season last year, and turning to Coach Allert for advice.

“How will I survive without gaining weight?” was Domer’s concern.

With Coach Allert’s calm approach and support, Domer was able to make it through the holidays without stress and not only did she avoid gaining weight, she actually lost a bit.

“The accountability is what I needed, and I never felt judgment from [Coach] Paige,” Domer lauded..

Results That Last

Domer finished her eight months with Coach Allert in the summer of 2025, and is no longer a CBG client.

Why?

Because she now has the tools and the confidence that she can be successful on her own.

“I eat 140 to 150 grams of protein a day, and it’s not overwhelming. Now it’s just the way I eat, and it’s not difficult anymore,” she emphasized.

Domer also knows she doesn’t have to be perfect all of the time. If she does indulge, she knows she can just get back on track the next day, she explained.

She credits Coach Allert with helping her develop this healthier mindset, one that gives her more freedom than ever before.

“I don’t feel stressed about food anymore. There’s always something I can grab, and I know how to eat off a menu if I’m out and still get something healthy, but still enjoy it,” she said.

Domer added: “I’m not scared of food anymore. I know I need calories to build the strength I want.”

And while Domer is currently thriving solo, she also said when she decides she wants to do another cut, she’ll probably bring Coach Allert back on to guide her once again.

Why Domer Recommends CBG

For Domer, the biggest benefit of CBG was the mindset shift. The shift all stemmed from having a coach who understood her needs and held her accountable without judgment.

“[Coach] Paige helped me navigate my life around food. I’m no longer a slave to food. It doesn’t control me. I control it,” Domer said. “I’m 46 and I feel healthier than I have ever been.”

Enthusiastically she added: “I would recommend CBG to anyone, like, anyone. It’s definitely worth every penny I spent on it.”
